TWENTY VESSELS IN TWELVE DAYS ~ (Rec. March 28, 8.40 p.m.) London, March 27. Lloyd's report that the fishing-boat Khartoum and the steamers Hebe and Merne have been sunk. It is believed that nine men were on board the Khartoum. ' Eight of the Hebe's crow were drowned. Since March 16, when the German official statement that "Our submarine campaign is now in full swing" was published, twenty vessels have been sunk—apart from the Sussex—of which ten were British, two French, two' Dutch, four Norwegian, and two Danish. [There are several Hebes in Lloyd's Shipping List. The Memo is probably the Herme, of which there, are several also.]
