In tho belief that nearly all disease comes from flios, tho City Council deckled last evening tliat an advertisement should be inserted in tho Press, advising owners who failed to disinfect manure heaps in stables daily, tliat they would be prosecuted for com-
mitting a nuisance. Sir,—'The paragraph at the head or this letter formed a local m this morning's paper. On the Lanibton Station this morning was a case containing fish, and destined for Trentham (probably the hospital). The fish was pack ed in such a way that the flics had ready ingress and egress, ancl were having alright royal time. Might it not be an advantage to have a few capable "City Mothers" to. help the _ City Fathers" do the "city housekeeping t I am not anxious for my name to appear, but think that citizens are shirking their duty if they do not call at tention to matters that affcct the com mon weal. am, efg, Maroh 24.
