MEETING OF THE UNION. A meeting; of Wellington waterside workers-was held at X shed last evening. Mr. F. Ourtice presided , over a Kood attendance. The following nominations for tho Disputes' Committeo wore received;—• Messrs. Jas. .Roberts, L. Glover, H, Callaglian, G. H. Gray, H. H. Turn, mons, 11. Hall, W. Parker, M. Carlson, F. Bristoe, and J. Franklin. A ballot will be held next Tuesday and Wednesday Mr. J. Allington was clected returning officer, and Messrs. W. Currie and R. J. Seal were appointed scrutineers. It was decided t£> pay two Quarters' capitation to the Waterside Workers' Federation. 1 Tlie financial statement- placed befors the union by the federation wa» adopted. Several recommendations from . the executive were adjptfid after considerable discussion. It was decided to substantially in. crease the salary of the secretary and assistant recrotary.
