KARORI DEFENCE CLUB
Tho Karon Defence Rifle Club fired the- fourth match of its second series at Trentliam on Saturday afternoon, at ranges of 300 and 500 vards. The north-easterly wind and tho absence of Hags made the conditions a littlo tricky. Nevertheless some good range scores were registered, a feature of which was a possible at 500 yards, put up by Itillomau P. F. Nash, who is one of the club's junior members. The Petono Rifle Club completed the second series, which consisted of a shoot 200, 300, 500, 600, 700, and 800 .varus,' ten shots at each range, and tiiis also coriTpfetes their championship scores. The club's champion shield and gold medal was won by veteran W. Ballinger, who has shot very consistently this season. The second series, A Class, was won by J. Carter, B Class S. Knight, C Class F.
