AN INSPECTOR-WANTED. • By Telegraph—Press Association. ' \ Hastings, March 18. • Six months ago the Government prompted Mr. Campbell, orchard inspector here, to Wellington, and failed! to appoint a. successor. The Hawke's Bay fruit growers at their last meeting decided that the attention of the Government be drawn to the fact that the absence of an inspector vas a- serious monace'to the fruit growing industry. Codlin moth and other pests were lecoming rampant in tho district, and infected fruit, was being offered for sale. The association also urges local inspection in Hawke's Bay of fruit for export. -.'.•■ '
