At the request of the Petone Borough Couuoil, receiving postal boxes have been erected at tho corner of the Esplanade and Patrick Street, and at the corner of Cuba and South Streets. On a further charge of assaulting Sarah Floyd, Waters was convicted, and fined '10s., with 12s. costs, in default 14 days' imprisonment.

Messrs. Swan and Swan, F.N.Z.1.A., architects, have accepted tho tender of Messrs. Haddock and llassall, builders, of Martou, for tho erection of the new Club Hotel, Marton, the contract price being £4350.
