MOTICE is hereby given that the A™ Makara County. Council, in pursuance of the provisions of "The Loc-al Bodies Loans Act, 1913," and "The Coun-ties-Act, 1908," and its amending Acts, proposes to raise a Special Loan of £1000 troiu the Superintendent, State Advances Office, for the purpose and on the conditions hereinafter mentioned:— (a) Such Loan, is boing raised for the purpose of constructing newbridges to replace those that were destroyed by - flood in November, 1915, and repairing damage, caused by the same flood, to other bridges and roads throughout the Porirua Hiding of the Makara County. v (b) The amount proposed to be borrowed is \BIOOO. (o) The Security for the said Loan. is to be 1-32 of a fenny in the pound, to be levied upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Porirua Biding, excepting that portion of the Biding known as the No.'2 Special-rating Area—Ngahauranga to Newlands Road Special Rating Area—{vide New Zealand Gazette, p. 2243; July 18, 1912), of the Makara County. The Loan is/to be repaid in'accordance withthe provisions of "The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1913," Part III: (d) It is proposed to pay out of the Loan the cost of raising the loan, and the interest thereon for the first year.
