RACING APPEALS , JUDGMENT IN CROESUS CASE DISQUALIFICATION OF THE ' PARTIES. Tho Racing Conference Appeal Judge yesterday made known their findings i two cases which had been referred i them. The. full text of their decisioi: is appended:— Iu the matter of the appeal of th Hawko's Bay Jockey Club from a dee s'oji of the Hawke's Bay District Con mittee, who refused 1 to endorso tho d( cision of, the Judicial Committee of th Hawko's Bay Jockey Club in disqualify luff the owner, G. P. Hardy, the trainei J. &. O'Neill, the jockeys (H. B. Loi . rigari. and H. Griffiths) and tho hors Croesus in tho Summor .Handicap, rui at Hastings on Monday, January 3, 1016 Judgment. The Judicial Committee of the Hawke' Bay Chi}), > after consideration of tLfe exi dence, and taking into account the per sonal observations of their stewards have decided that Croesus was gulled ii the abovo race. The District Comuutte of Hawke's Bay do not differ from tlii decision. Upon a review of the evident we have no reason for dissenting fron this finding. We are of opinion that there is n< power under the rule 2, part XXXIII, 't< disqualify an offender during the pleas ure of the stewards or committee of < club; the disqualification must be for ; fixed and specified period. We cannot exonerate the owner (G F. Hardly), and the trainer (J. S. O'Neill from complicity in the pulling of tin horse. JVe further think that the ownei was guilty of corrupt practice, sp'ecitiet in Rule I(h),.Part XXXIII. We disqualify the owner and trainei under Rule 1, Part XXXIII, for th< period of twelve months from the' date of this decision. We affirm the decision of the' Judicial Committee that H. Griffith, the rider ol Pursefiller in tho abovo race, was guilty of the corrupt practice mentioned iii Rule 1 (h), Part XXXIII, and suspend his license for three months from January 3, 1916. The disqualification of the jockev ol Croesus (11. B. Lorrigan) by thp Judicial Committee of the Hawke's Bay Club having been confirmed by the District Committee, we disqualify him under the before-mentioned, rule for six months 'from January 3, 1916. ' (Signed) George Clifford. ' C. P. Skerrett. 0. S. Watkins. THE MUNSTER REGISTRATION. In the matter of the appeal of the Takapuna Jockey Club against a decision « * Auckland District Committee, who refused to agree with the opinion of tho Takapuna Jockev Club that the failure of R. and W. M'Micken and W. Johnston to register a contingency in the iorse Munster -was not wilful. Judgment. We have i carefully considered the evidence on which the decisions of the Judicial Council of the Takapuna Jockey Uub and the Auckland District Committee were .based. We thiuk that the circumstances attending the transactions renr,r? to «%. n ? ter betw 'een Robert and William MMicken were suspicious, and hate ielt some difficulty in coming t) a conclusion. Upon a review of the evidence we are n°« !? ■'"P'.'old the decision of the District Committee reversing the inding of the Judicial Council of tho lakapuna Jockey Club that the breach of . the rules under part VIII ; l. y the owner of Munster was not wilful'. It appears to us that there .was no reason, even for the nurpose of affecting tho claim of MrWilfred Johnston under the & en U -P ctow!r l V 10U - why Mr. William M J icken, or his brother, should Top nnl < .« eist f ed the agreement. Ihe appeal w therefore allowed . (Signed) George Clifford. C. P. RtcerroK. . ' 0. S. Watkins,

Among the fancied candidates for the six furlongs is Eurobin, who finished fourth in the Oakleigh Plato, five furlongs and a half. He has Ulb. less to carry to-day, and this concession, .will

| no doubt enable hiin to begin much more quickly. Tile Iliccarton trainer, 1 A. Jl'Aultiy, ramq up from tho south yesterday with Specinli'orm anil Sauiiseii, which were transhipped 011 to the Pateona, boiutd for Nelson. On tho same boat was G. Ite-ed with Roseland, J. Gibson with Heel Tap, ami J. Hathaway with Imaroso and .Heather. Record entries have been received for the different, events at tho R-angitilcei meeting, to bo held 011 March 22 and 23. Acceptances for tho Opunako meeting are due 011 Monday. It is reported from Christchurch that during last week it was found necessary to destroy tho pacing stallion Albert H. by Bcthschild. During his career-Albert H. won the New Zealand Trotting Cup in 1012, and also h'eld a record of 4min. 32 2-Ssec.' for two miles. He met with an injury to the fetlock, which gradually' bcoame worse, and as there was practicnlly no chance of recovery, his destruction was decided upon. The Porirua team for the Nelson meeting will oonsist of Stepney and a maiden by Gold Crost from Maureen. The pair are to be ridden by. C. Emerson. Mi\G. T. Seymour, owner of Ped Light, has just returned from a holiday trip to Botorua. He is going to Nelson to see his. horse race in the Maiden events, in which he will T>e ridden by B. DeeJey. Jockeys Deeley, Emereon, and A. Peed will do. two days at the Nelson meeting, end will then return for the concluding day at Napier. Her two wins at Daimevirke have rendered Martial Air ineligible to compete in the Maiden nt Nelson nest week, but 6he is engaged in the Welter Hack, and if lier rehandican is suitable the Achilles mare will doubtless take her place in the field, B. Deeley will be on Want and Need, in their Nelson engagements. Two newcomers at Porirua inre the gelding Kuhungumi, by Torpedo, and an unnamed gelding by The Band. Tho pair ore owned by Mr. R. Acton-Adams, of Heriot, and wfll be tried over fences. Comment was. not the same horss on the second day at Dannevirke as she wns 011 Wednesday. Sho ,was a runner in the Telephone Handicap, six furlongs, but entering tho straight her rider was hustling _ her along to keep with the leaders, and in the finish (.she was out of a place. Probably the race iu the Maiden on the first day got to the bottom of'her. FIXTURES. MarcTi 1 and 6—Te Aroha J.C. Annual. March 8 and 9.—Nelson J.C. Annual. March 10 and 11.—Napier Park B.C.
