SUMMARY AND FORECAST AT 4 P.M. YESTERDAY. Present indications are for high northerly winds generally, changing by west to south shortly in the south. Expect cloudy ( and unsettled weather, witTi rain following, but warm and stiltry for a tirno in tho East Ooast districts. The, barometer falling everywhere, but probably rising in the south after from 24 to 36 hours. Cloudy and misty conditions have ruled, and rain -lias fallen ou the West Coast and southern districts of the South Island.
