There was a large yarding of fat cattle at the Burnside market, 269 being penned. Prices were much easier, the Quality on the whole being only medium. Best bullocks, £16 to £17 10s.; medium, £12 10s. to £13 10s.; inferior, £10 10s. to £11; best cows aud heifers, £12 10s. to £14; medium, £10 to £U; inferior, £8 10s. to £9. Fat Sheep.—3CCo wero penned, the quality being very mixed. The prices for prim« 3heep evenly drafted were firm, but a number of the pens were so mixed in quality that freezing buyers could not bid for thorn. There was a small yarding of fat lambs, 600 being penned. Tho quality was only fair, the majority being light and second £rade. Prime 6old well, but medium quality was erratic. Stores wero in over-supply, and realised much, lower prices.
