SUCCESSFUL AIR RECONNAISSANCE. 1 The High Commissioner reports London, February 21, 7.10 p.m. "In Egypt, in the course of an aeroplane reconnaissance of the enemy's advanced posts cast of the Suez Canal yesterday, a British aviator, descending to six hundred feet, destroyed the enemy's power-station at El Hassaiia with- a hundred-pound bomb. "Ii( Mesopotamia the dispatch of reinforcements to General Aylmer is proceeding satisfactorily." NO CHANGE AT KUT-EL-AMARA. (Rec. February 22, 10.25 p.m.) . London, February 21. An official report from Mesopotamia states that a hostile aeroplane, on February 17 and 19, bombed tho camp at Kut-el-Amara, but did no damage. The situation is unchanged., Tho dispatch of reinforcements to General Aylmer is proceeding satisfactorily. SUBMARINES' EXPLOIT IN THE BOSPHOROUS (Reo. February 22, 9.40 p.m.), Athons, February 21. Tt is reported that ono of the Allies' submarines reached the Bosphorous on February 15, and torpedoed a tug and six munition-laden transports. Constantinople was thrown into a stab') of panic. , - THE WAITING INTERVAL IN THE BALKANS FRICTION BETWEEN BULGARS AND GERMANS. i _ _ London, February 21. Mr. Ward Price, representative of the British Press in the Eastern Mediterranean, telegraphing from Salonika, says that Bulgarian deserters agree that fhe friction between the Bulgarians and the Germans' is becoming more serious. Tho Germans.purposed sending largo Bulgarian detachments to Russia and France, but the Bulgarians openly proclaimed that they did not desire to fight further. They considered thei i- duty finished. During a squabble over hay, a Bulgarian officer ordered his men to draw their revolvers, and five Germans were shot. KING CONSTANTINE THANKED BY GREEK DEPUTIES. v Athens, February 21. The President of the Greek Chamber of Deputies headed a deputation that tendered Parliament's thanks to King Constantine for saving the nation at a critical time. When the small nations were being overcome, King Constantine, within the limits of his prerogative, had taken drastic action. Tho Rumanian Corn Commission has signed a contract for the sale to Germany of one hundred thousand wagons of grain if Germany fulfils her old contract to supply Rumania with locomotives and rolling-stock.
