RIFLE-SHOOTING
KARORI DBFENCE CLUB. Owing to the parade of troops through the City on Saturday next the Ivuori Defence Rifle Club will not shoot at l'rentham on Saturday afternoon. As the range at Trentham is frequently required on Saturdays for the use of tho Expeditionary Forces the club will be unable to conclude the whole of its competitions at Trentham, and it has, therefore, been decided to extend tho No. 1 series, which is to be fired at Trentham, to five matches, of which ' four are to count. The second series to bo ten of which seven are to count. This series will be fired on tho miniature range at Buckle Street, "'commencing on February 8. The aggregate prizes will be allotted on the result of the two ficries. In the miniature series four trophies have been donated by Messrs. Owen Daley, Jwld, and Randall, Dix. ami Farriuluir. Of these prizes two at least must be won by handicap men. . SUBURBS CLUB. The Suburbs- Defence Bide Club will continue their shooting on Saturday at their range, Broadway, Jliramar. Tho annual class firing is the fixture for Saturday, and every member is requested to be. present.
