Of 25,522 subscribers, the Mutual Life and Citizens' Association was on top, with one and a quarter million, the A.M.I'. Society, New South Wales and Commonwealth Banks, Commercial Banking Company, Sydney, subscribed a million each, several other hanks and large commercial concerns a hundred thousand to a quarter of a million, and the Colonial Sugar Company a hundred thousand. New South Wales alone subscribed £9,938,000, and Victoria £6,979,000. The Government is accepting the whole amount. BROKEN HILL STRIKE NEW ZEALAND TO BE TOURED FOR FUNDS. Sydney, February 3. The Australian Miners' Association has appointed six delegates to tour the States and New Zealand to raise funds to carry on the strike.
