TECHNICAL TEACHERS
MEETING OF ASSOCIATION. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, January 31. At the annual meeting of tho Now Zealand Technical School Teachers' Association. officers were elceted as follow:—President. Mr. Neavc (Auckland) ; vice-president, Mr. E. Newton (Christchurcn); executive. Miss M. Wilson (Invercargill), Miss Henwick (Auckland), Messrs. C. J. Park (Wanganui), and W. S. Aldridge (Christchurch). It was resolved that the association advocate the union of all teachers' associations in New Zealand on the lines of the National Union of Teachers in England. It was agreed to draft a schemo to be sent to the Educational Institute for its consideration. It was resolved that it was advisable that on the Council of Education, technical school teachers should have representation separate and distinct from tlin't t>f secondary school teachers. It was Tesolved that the number of hours teaching per weelc be '25, and that the controlling authorities be approached with a, view to having mallei's arranged accordingly.
