A NEW CAPITAL FOR MEXICO
GARDEN CITY ON WASHINGTON MODEL By Telegraph.—Proas Association—Copyright New York, January 24. President Carranza and his Cabinet have dccided to found a new oapital of Mexico at Dolores Hidalgo, tie geo-graphical-centre of the republic. Old Euildings will be razed to build a home for the future President. It will be in the nature of a garden city, partly 011 the Washington model. It is proposed to sell the majority of the public buildings in Mexico City, with the exception of the National Palace and the Governor's Palace. It is thought that if ten million sterling is raised it will he sufficient to begin operations.
