. LOAVER HUTT CIRCUIT. The Rev. AA r m. Beckett presided at tho quarterly meeting of the Hutt Methodist Churches. Tho - income for the quarter showed that a record sum of £152 llad been raised, including £36 for patriotic purposes. Tho .Foreign Mission income was £01 Bs. 2d. ■ Home Missions, £2-5 12s. 9d.: 'total, £87 os. lid. Arrangements _ wore made to hold the harvest thanksgiving services on March 12. Tho Foreign Mission Sunday was fixed for February 13, when the Rot. Poolo, of Fiji, is expected to attend. Messrs. Armitagc and AValton were re-elected circuit stewards, and wero heartily thanked for their past services. Mr. Annitage was chosen to represent tho circuit at tho next conference to be held in Auckland on February 24. PETONE CIRCUIT. . ,The Rev. J. J. Lewis presided at the quarterly meeting of tho Petone Methodist Circuit. The financial statement was presented by the stewards, and although a small deficit was shown, the balance-sheet was considered satisfactory. Messrs. AV. Melhuish and F. Lockwood were elected circuit stewards for tho ensuing year. Mr. Melhuish was appointed to represent the circuit at the conference to be held in Auckland on February 24. Tho chairman reported that the Rev. Poole, of Fiji, would be tho Foreign Mission deputation this year, and would preach at Nelson Street on February !3. Harvest festivals wero sanctioned in Nelson and Jackson Streots duTlng February. Reports from Sunday schools and other societies showing a marked interest. wero received.
