MEDITERRANEAN LOSS OF LIFE REPORTED. Malta, Jauuavy 12. The steamer Clau Macfarlane, 4823 ; tons, was sunk on December 30. Tba chief officer, tlie engineer, four other j officers, and 18 Lascars were picked up, ; Thirteen Lascars died ill the boat. j
