Tlio .following return showing the quantities of lieinp, tow, anil stripper slips, graded at. tlio ports of the Dominion during the month of December, has lieen' issued. by -the Department of Agriculture, Industries, and Commerce: Hemp.—The total numbor of hales graded was 14,129, as compared with 6645 'for the corresponding jnonth of last year, an increase ol T4SI bales. Kor the twelve months ending December 31, 1915, the number ( of bales graded was 120,322, as compared with 98,244 for the previous twelve months, an increase of 22,57S bales. Tow.—During the month 4440 bales were dealt with as compared with 1814 for tho corresponding month of last year, an increaso of 2626 bales. For tho twelve months ending December 31, 1915, the number of bales graded was 32,970, as compared with for the previous twelve months, an increase of 2977 bales. ■ . •' Stripper'Slips.—During the raointti the number of bales graded was 73G, as compared with 100 for the corresponding month, of- last yea.:', an increase of 656 bales. For . the ' twelve months ending December 31, 1915, the number of bales graded was 4057, as compared with 1362 for the previous twelve months, an increase of 2695 bales.
