SOLDIERS LODGING ALLOWANCE

MADE IIETROS ?ECTIVE. Tho Minister of Defence has approve ed of the payment of the lodging allowance of 2s. per day to returned soldiers on sick leave being made retrospective. Those soldiers who were liome on leave before the allowance was made, and who believe themselves entitled to tlie payment, are invited to make application to tlie Defence Department. Men on sick leave now will receive the allowance as a matter of course, but those who wish to claim under tho amended rule by which the allowance is made retrospective must make application for the allowance.
