The British steamer ulcngyle (9395 tons) has been sunk. A hundred were ■ saved. [The Glengyle belongs to the Glen Line, and! was completed in 1914.] THE CLENCYLE'S CARCO. ABOUT TWENTY PERSONS MISSING. (Rec. January 4, 8.5 p.m.) London, January 3. The Glengyle had 104 of a crew. About ten passengers, the second officer, the steward, the second gunner, and seven Chinese are missing. The vessel had a valuable cargo of butter and eggs. Before leaving port she took on a gun for defensive purposes'. ONLY TEN MISSING. (Rec. January 4, 8.20 p.m.) London, January 3. The Glengyle's captain has reached Malta. Only ten of the crew are missing. EXPLOSION In tank steamer. IN THE BROOKLYN DOCK. New York, January 3. An explosion on the Norwegian oil tank steamer Aztec in the Brooklyn dock killed one man and injured twenty. Eighteen arc missing. The disaster is believed to he a proGerman outrage. CREEK STEAMER ON FIRE. CARRYING IRON TO GLASGOW. London, January 3'. The Greek steamer Salaminia (3112 tons), with a cargo of iron for Glasgow, was seen near Cape 'l'arifa (the extremo southern point of Spain) enveloped in flames. It is believed that she foundered, and that the crew was taken off. ANOTHER STEAMER SUNK. (Kec. January 4, 8.5 p.m.) London, January 3. The Liverpool steamer Saint Oswald (3810 tons) lias been sunk. S.S. CEELONC SUNK. AFTER A COLLISION. (Rec. January 4, 11.40 p.m.) London, January 4. The P. and 0. steamer Geelong (7951 tons) was sunk in the Mediterranean after collision with an Admiralty store ship. There was no loss of life.
