ORDINATION SERVICE
At St. Mary's Cathedral, Auckland, on Sunday last, tho Bishop of Auckland, Dr. A. AV. Averill, held an ordination service for. candidates for the Diaconate and the Priesthood. The sermon for the occasion was preached by the Rev C. A. - jTisdoll, ■ vicar of Ellerslie.
The following were admitted to holy orders:—To the Diaconato: Messrs Henaro Paraone, Tauira Tokoroa Poihipij H. W. Smith, and J. H. Cable, i'iie Rev.-'Mr. Cable was appointed curate_ at Mount Albert, the Rev. Mr. Smith curate at Taumarunui, the Rev. T. T. Poihipi, assistant missionary in the Northern.AVairoa district, and the Rev. H. Paraone, assistant missionary' in the AVaikato district.
The ..following were appointed to the priesthood The Rev. Hori Piri Raiti, missionary in the . "Waikato district; Rev. R.-J.'Stanton, , St. Barnabas' Church, Mount Eden; Rev. C. B. W. Seton, Holy Trinity Church, Devonport; Rev. E. E. Bamford, St. Peter's Church, Hamilton; Rev. F. D. Briscoe, All Saints' Church, Ponsonby.
