Christmas Carols given by the Young Women's Christian Association Eyrie Club under the leadership of Air. l'\ S. Pope to the sailors in port on Thursday evening were most successful. Various members of the club helped 'with solos and : duets, and the sailors showed their hearty appreciation/ in a; characteristic way. ' . .. '■, . All,members and friends of the Young Women's Christian Association are invited to tho Christmas tea given by the members of the Board of Directors 1 on Sunday next at 5.30 p.m., which will ■bo preceded by a carol service led by the. Lyric Club, under the baton of Mr. [<'. S. Pope, beginning at 4.15 p.m. Tho Christmas Message at this servico will be given by the Rev. Dr. Gibb. It is hoped that a ;krge .'number' will .be able to attend, and make this one of tne brightest services -of the year.. ' A special .invitation is extended to, all strangers and girls away, from home for Christmas Day, when.there will,be ah informal, homely tea party at tho Young Women's Christian Association, Fowlds's Buildings, Manners Street; at 5.30 p.m. There will be old-fashioned and bright musio, and a very happy time is promised by the girl members to those who accept this invitation.
