♦— ; !A committee meeting of the Welling* ton Automobile Club was held last weeE< at the secretary's office, Mr. : ' C. H.Izard presiding. - There' wore present i Dr. Prendergast Knight, Messrs. C. Banks, ,C. E.'Aldridge, 0. Sherwood; H.Lloyd, and W. Mantell. • It was decided that if any member had not paid his| subscription' for the last year his nama should be removed from the reg'ster according to R-ule 12, but such membershould he eligible for re-election upon payment of his subscription, and of all arrears duo to tho club. The following new members were elect* ed: Miss Murphy, Mrs. R. Josephs) Dr. Morice, Messrs. Eric Johnson, S„ Marcourt, D. Burke, H. D. Vickory, F,R. Cooper, L. Siegel, W. B. Bennett, H.G. Hill, C. B. Buxton, F. Townsend, and J. B. Grove. Mr. C. E. Wyett, being away on military service, was made an honorary member during the period of the war. The certificate of incorporation of thei club was received from the Registrar of Incorporated Societies. The, secretary notified the meeting that, in response to the request of the Makara. County Council, a member of the club had donated six finger-posts, on. the understanding that the council wotold place ports in appropriate positions. ■ 'Mr. Banks'"moved, and it was unanli mously carried,' that a vote of sympathy be accorded to Mr. H. Lloyd on hia recent regrettablo accident at Feather* ston.

TJio secretary reported that _ Dr. Moi'ice Had expressed liis appreciation and thanks to motor-car owners whd sent their cars to Victoria Hospital for the use of wounded soldiers, and that the men were highly delighted with the outing; also to the club-for its efforts in-placing the matter 011 a satisfactory, basis.
