Tho card is sign- 1 cd "J. Harney, ith^Reinforcements." This 1 man lias been reported "missing," aiid 1 later "missing, believed to'be dead.'" His l message runs: "Just a few lines to let ] you know I am in hospital, and I am ] being very well cared for. Was wounded ' ■audi takenprisoner -on August 27. I , ivrote to the Agent-General for Now Zea- • -land, : London, ■ thinking it would be the bettor plan, as he could let the authori- 1 ties in Now Zealand know much sooner 1 ■ than I could, or at least I thought .so. 1 No doubt I •syould be mentioned amongst ] the missing,- so I thought it would be as well to let you know my whereabouts." j
