INDUSTRIAL ASSOCIATION
The monthly meeting of the coijncil of the Wellington Industrial Association was held last night. Mr. E. /Bull occupied the chair, and there was a small attendance. It was 'announced that the conference of the New Zealand Industrial Coi juration had been postponed till some; time i:i January or February, 1916. It is to be held in Christcliurch, • aDil the fixing of the exact date was left ?n the hands of the secretary, who is consult the delegates. Mr. G. W. Slade was appointed a member of the association. I The chairman reported that' everything was well in train for tlifji industrial exhibition. It was thoupftit that there would bo plenty of applications to fill tho available space. TJfee could also be made of the galleryf of the Town Hall for additional -exhibits. Forty-nine stalls were set off in the main hall. Tho upset price of .the allotments came to £407. It was thought tho expenses would come to al/out £400. A copy of the Cost of Lijving Act] 1915, was laid before the me<*ing. Owing to tho small attendance, 'discussion of the Act was postponed till jncxt meeting.
