BELGIANS ADMITTED TO ENGINEERS' UNION
- The British Amalgamated Society of Engineers have decided to admit Bel-
gian workmen into their union on the following 'conditions
"Belgian mechanics who can produco proof of of a Belgian trade union must join the class for which they are eligible according to our rules, but such candidates will be charged no entrance fec t
"Where they can prove to have belonged. to a trado union in Belgium they are eligible for full membership up to the age of forty-five.* 0
"These privileges," says the society, "are to he granted on tho understanding that tho Belgians return to their own country after tho war."
