MILK SUPPLY CONTROL
INQUIR Y FROM THE ARGENTINE.
As showing t'lio up-to-dato character of the Argentine cities, the Mayor has received ail inquiry regarding the control of milk from N. Castro Ziimy, Director of the Agricultural Department at Per-ga-mino, in the Argentine. The letter roads as follows:— "In view of the fact that this experimental station is realising investigation I into tho inspection and control of milk and its products in the principal cities of the world, we would bo much obliged to you should you bo so benevolent to answer our questions through your corresponding officer in tho manner herein indicated: — 1. Laws and decrees regulating the sale of milk and its products. 2. Methods employed to pufc into practice these dispositions. 3. Methods of analysis. 4. Approximate consumption of same. 5. Number of employees in office of ; uiilk inspectors. 6. Annual cost of control of- salo of milk and its products. 7. Percentage of disinfectants and foreign matter. 8. Price of milk and its products in the various months of the year. 0. Their quality in the various mouths of tho year. 10. Bacterial contents of the above said." An answer to the above questions will Be forwarded in due course.
