WELL EARNED REST

OUR TROOPS AT THE FRONT. The New Zealand troops at the front have been, or had been until a day or two ago, away from Gallipoli since September 15 and 16. They are resting at a base, after tiheir long and trying service since April 25 last. This information has been, received by the Defence Minister from General Godley, in response to an inquiry made from here by the Minister. There has been some anxiety felt here by the relatives of some of the men who have been through all the fighting. ' They feared that the soldiers might be utterly worn out and broken in health. The news that tlio troops aro resting, and probably refitting, will bo good news to many.
