No objection lias been taken to Mr. Whitlock. [Mr. Brand Whitlock is returning to America ostensibly on the ground of ill-health. The publication of his report in the Nurse Cavell case caused that gentleman much embarrassment. Mr. Whitlock asserted that he did not accuse the Germans anywhere of breaking faith with hiin, as his diplomatic status did not give him any authority save to plead for mercy.]
