"SCHEMING PLACE-HUNTERS." By Telegraph—Press Association— Adelaide, October 30. The Hon. W. D. Archibald, ex-Minis-. ter of Home Affairs (vdio was voted out of the Federal Cabinet by the Labour Caucus 011 account of his attitude on the question of preference to unionists), referring to the reconstruction of the Federal Cabinet, said it was brought about by scheming, hungry, and greedy place-hunters. He accused I\lr. King O'Malley of frequenting the Trades Hall with the objcct of influencing the industrial section, and claims that ho was not given the right to defend himself from charges which arose through his . adherenco to the Cabinet's policy. (Eec. November 1, 0.20 a.m.) Sydney, October 31. Mr. O'Malloy, in reply to Mr. Archibald's allegations, says that if the latter can name anyone in tho > Labour Party to whom ho spoke about being a candidate for office ho will give £1000 to the South Australian Hospital, pro---udfld £;I.OQ.
