ASSOCIATION MEETING. A meeting of the Wellington Cricket Association was held at tho Civil Sorvico Club lust evening, Mr. C. G. Wilson presiding. It was stated,, that Wellington East Club would be unable to enter a junior team in tho championship. .Regarding the failure of Porirua and Trentham junior to muster teams last Saturday, it was decided to ask the Junior Association to furnish a report to the meeting next week. The patriotic match played last Saturday between Wellington and Canterbury resulted in a net profit of £59 12s. Sd. It was decided to hand tlio amount 1 over to the secretary of the Christmas Gift Fund Committee. The chairman expressed the wish that those present would make an effort to be present at the smoke concert to bo bold by the combined sports bodies at the Coiiccrt' Chamber of tho Town. Hall this evening. The concert is in aid of the Christmas Gift Fund. DRAWINGS FOR SATURDAY. Tho following third-class matclies have been drawn for next Saturday;— College A v. Trentham.—College Ground. College B v. Marist Brothors. —College Ground. Old Boys v. Petone—Petone. JUNIOR ASSOCIATION. Tho annual meeting of the Wellington Junior Cricket Association was held in the Y.M.C.A. building on Tuesday, Mi'. H. J. Buck in the chair. .11l presenting the annual report and balance-sheet the chairman said that the main difficulty this season will be to find players, owing to so great a number having gone to the front. The exact figures are not available, but whereas in the 1913-14 season thero were twentytwo clubs affiliated with the association, thero are now only about eight. In all probability tho coming season will be one of the most difficult iu the history of the association. Regarding the financial position, it is gratifying to learn that, despite the adverse conditions, the situation is ns satisfactory as can be expected under tho circumstances. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows:—Patron, Mr. 11. A. Wright, M.P. (re-elected); president, Councillor J. E. Fitzgerald (reelected) ; the vice-presidents were all reelected; lion, secretary and treasurer, Mr. F. Galvin (re-elected); Management Committee, Messrs. Smith, Hills, Wrigley, Buck, Murphy, Black, and Bidmead; auditors, Messrs. Kershaw and Travers (rc-elected). It was decided that Cup matches shall commence on Saturday week (November G), providing, however, that tho reinforcements are not parading on that date. Instructions are to be issued that no such matches be played on the day the various reinforcements are marching through the City streets. On the motion of Mr. Salmond it was resolved that clubs which are in arrears for more than a fortnight shall be suspended until such arrears are paid.
BOYS' LEAGUE. A ineotiug of tlio committee of tiie Wellington Boys' Cricket League was held on Tuesday. There were present: Messrs. Fitzgerald (in tlio chair), Graham, lliddler, Thomas, and M'Chiskey (secretary). Resignations were received from Messrs. Bell and Lazarus, members of tlio Management Committee. It was dccided to call a delegates' meeting for November 9 to elect two members to fill the vacancies, and also to consider suggested alterations to rules. It was resolved io start matches on Novoniber 13, and that entries close on November 8.
