General satisfaction was expressed at the good vain t.hat had fallen during tho night, and this undoubtedly had its effect upon some classes of stock, but not anything like the efl'oci expected, especially in the store sheep section, which showed little real improvement over last week. Gattle.—There was a very large yarding of fat cattle at Burnside, 250 being penned. Although the entry was much above the average, a splendid sale resulted, prices being verv satisfactory. The highest price obtained was £27, probably a record for the yards, and at tlie end of the sale prices were firmer than at the commencement. Prime bullocks, £20 10s. to £23 10s.; extra, to £27; medium, £16 to £18 10s.; light. £13 to £14 55.; best cows and heifers, £14 10b. to £16; extra,.to £17 10s.; medium, £11 12s. 6d. to £12 7s. 6d.; light and aged, £9 to £10 2s. 6d. . .
