Discussing the League for Marrying Broken Heroes, Lady Muir M'Kcnzie advocates cn age-limit of twenty-one. Indian marriages, >she urges, are happy, although the parties had not previously seen each other. Lady Byron says that it is a woman's character to care for the helpless, and thousands would like the oportunity. The League was ail excellent thing for quiet girls, who otherwise would* not meet men. The Marchioness of Townshend says that it is perfectly ridiculous that women should wait until broken heroes should ask their hands in marriage. Lady Limerick says that the women of England, should provide wives for all the lonely i wounded., Miss Sylvia Pankh'urst says:, "No love, no marriage."
