Twelve were for theft) the> total sum involved (.including the charges previously gono into) being about £1400. The thirteenth charged him with committing forgery by making a fake document, viz., a receipt to Neill and Co. for the sum of £iJ23 for adjustment of loss per the Kotuku, and purporting to be signed by S. Jacobs on behalf of Joseph Nathan and Co., Wellington. Accused pleaded guilty to all charges and was committed for sentence.
