HERETAUNGA BOATING CLUB
The' eighth suinual meetrng of the | Heretaunga Boating Club was held on Wednesday, Commordore J. M'Donald presiding over a fair attendance. The report stated that the committee had endeavoured to husband the resources of the club during the year. Several members had answered the Empire's call, arid it was desired to place 011 record the club's appreciation of their patriotism.' .Regarding: the finances, the club had been faced with unexpected liabilities, but in the circumstances the year had. closed satisfactorily.: • The sum of £6 14s. Cd. was received : in donations, and a credit of £1 7s. lid. was obtained from the annual smoke concert. Tho club's liabilities were nil, and the credit balance for the incoming year represented in cash £14 4d. Bd. During tho evening the following officers were elected Commodore, Mr. A. Aldred; vice-commodore, Mr. A. Bittle; rear-commodore, Mr. Taylor; secretary, Mr. J. A. M'Donald; assistant secretary, Mr. A. Colquhouri; treasurer, Mr. B. Piper; committee, Messrs. R. Clark, T. Stutter, F.. Sheppard, A. Webley, H. Head; handicapper; Mr. E. 1 Tregear; starter and judge, Mr. H. Rowe.)
