FEDERAL CLUB
At the annual meeting of the Fed-, sral Club, hold on : Wedrtesday evening, the following officers were elected, for the current year President, Mr. J. Doyle; vice-presidents, Messrs. W.. A.? Fordham, 0. Rose, H. G. Smith, T.' H. Morrison: committee, Messrs. M. Archer, I'. R. Archibald,. W. J. . Hayward, T. J. Kellohcr, W. J. King, A. Minogue, A. N.' Robertson, A; Q. Washer, J. Wilson; lion, auditor, Mr. W. R. Jones; liou, trbasurei 1 ,, Mr! W. J. Young; secretary, Mr. H. R. Searle. Alention was inade of the foot that eight members of the club'were at tho front, aiid it was decided to forward to them well-filled Christmas hampers and plenty of reading matter. Further, letters of sympathy are to, be forwarded to the relatives of tlioso members Who have already been included in the casualty lists.
•An interesting exhibit in Messrs. H. C. Gibbons and Co.'s Lambton Quay win-dow-is attracting some attention. The firm is agent for Planet Junior farm and garden implements, - and one of theso handy machines is shown at work, sowing both seed and fertilisers in a drill. An expert is present to demonstrate to' interested parties what a wonderful variety of work it can dp.
