London, August 12. Mr. Cotter, of Auckland, son of Mr. Thomas Cotter, K.C., is in London on a visit. Mr. Eliot King, of New Plymouth, who arrived in England on July 26, has come to England with tho intention of joining the Imperial forces. Mr. D. Manson, of the Kaiapoi Woollen Company, is in London on a business trip after having visited New York. Mrs. C. A. Dunn, of Peel Forest, and her daughter are staying at Sittingbourne, where her son, Mr. J. A. Dunn, is stationed with the 4th Royal Dublin Fusiliers. Mi - , and Mrs. Maurice -Mason, of Hawke's Bay, have been on a motor tour throu"h_England and Wales. They leave on their return to New Zealand, via America, on the 14th. . Miss Meta C-allender, daughter of the general manager of tlio Bank of Now Zealand,_ who arrived in England in tho beginning of July, is joining tho hospital staff at Mount Felix, at Wal-ton'-on-Thames. Mr. T. 1\ James, of Halcombe, Wellington Province, who is in England after twenty-five years' absence, has come to offer liis services for the war. Ho is staying at Newcastle-on-Tyne on a visit to his brother, who is manager of tho Oxygen Works there.
