This face,- which will in future- he ■ known as No. 2 east drive, is now out 738 feet from No. 2 shoot. No. 11 north drive was advanced 20 feet, and No. 9 north drive 19. feet, both is 4- feet of pay wash. The northwest drive off No. 3 shoot .was esto'need 16 feet in fair grade, wash. Blocking is proceeding off' No. .8 south drive and No. 7 north drive. Tlio return from tho 35oss Goldfields is 50oz. dwt. of. gold from 773 trucks. THE HAUKAKI BEEFS, LTD. The mine manager of 'the Hanraki Heofs reports:—An examination of the upper level shows tho workings on the new block of ground to be open right up to tho face. It will be necessary to put a short rise through to t.hc surface for air and a hack way out of the mine. Throughout the woelt wo have been carrying along the leading slope over tho back of tfee No. 1 level ready for timbering. As wired, 251b. of picked stone was selected from generally good crushing dirt. In futuro the No. 1 level will be known as tho No. 3 level.
