'It is stated ill relation to the fact that Austria and Germany are putting out peace feelers that it is impossible to further hide the truth that cholera and typhus are raging in the Central Empires. Tho epidemics have grown to alarming proportions. In twenty days there were 7427 cases of cholera in Austria, of-which 3295 wore fatal. Cholera is widespread in Galicia, and typhus has a strong hold on Upper and Lower Austria. Tho mortality in Germany is alarming; the efforts to combat it are inadequate,, and tho contamination is spreading.
