Tho various brokers held their fortnightly wool, skin,, and bide sales--yesterday; '•Messrs. Dalgety. and Company report:— We held out fortnightly' enle/of . skins, hides, arid tallow, arid in,con junction offered 'crutchings and fleece wool that had been held over during-tho 1 past month, especially for this sale. There was a good'attendance, but- prices- for skins were slightly.easier, -showing a, drop of 3d.- per lb. for htalfbreds and fino'crossbreds, and about Id. to id. per lb. for other lines. Hides were; on a par'with ; tho prices rul-. ing a fortnight ago, which .were very satis-, factory. . Fleece wool and crutchiugs sold very,!,erratically, only good clean lines being'bid on, ; and ]?riccs for these'were on about «a ipar. those realised a month ago. AU bale wool will be* held over for'the first wool'sdle of the 1915-16 season on November 17 next. ; Messrs. Murray,. Robert* and Co. report:— •We offered a catalogue- of 20 bales ,of wool, principally crutchings, 4600. sheepskins, and 450* hides land calfskins. Competition was keen,' but,at lower range of prices for wool and sheepskins, these being a halfpenny lower. Ox hides fully maintained' last ■ sale's rates, but' cow hides showed a decline of 4d. per lb.' Seedy lots of'crutchings -were'almost unsaleable, in- inany cases no bid being made.; Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report:—We offered a good catalogue-of all classes of produce.. There was good competition for sltins and hides," prices for the •former;betas on a .par -with last sale. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., state that.about 700.bales of wool, were loffered in • conjunction with, the ordinaryfortnightly sale.
