Orr was, found guilty on six charges of theTt of" painters' requisitos from tho firm where no was employed. Counsel said accused was a married man and asked for leniency. Mr. Justice Edwards said, in sentencing prisoners, it was a most unpleasant duty as there wero enormous difficulties in reconciling justice with mercy, and how tho innocent should not suffer. 110 considered there should bo power to review sentences, as in England. It was preferable that sentences should bo determined by a greater numbor of judges than by one. Sentence was deferred. ,
