HOTLY WORDED APPEAL
NETHERLANDS ANTI-WAR . COUNCIL. (Rec. August 15, midnight.) ' Amsterdam, August 14. Tho Netherlands Anti-War Council has asked tho Foreign Minister to collaborate in the formation of a conference of neutral Powers to sit throughout the war and ivork in the interests of peaco. The council has issued a hot-ly-worded appeal, exhorting the belligerent peoples to proclaim their desire for peace. It says:."You will not be expected to livo up to the admonition, 'Love your enemy or neighbour.' All that is necessary is to respect thy neighbour like thyself." GIFT FROM THE POPE DESTITUTE EAST PRUSSIANS.' (Rec. Augnxst 15. midnight. Amsterdam, August 14. The Pope has sent 10,000 marks to tho destitute in East Prussia.
