VISITED BY THE KING fiy Telegraph-Press Association-CopyrigHt j London, August 13. The King visited the New Zealand Hospital. The committee is-arranging for 125 more beds. There, are applications for 240,. and 113 have been accommodated. . The Hon. Thomas Mackenzie and liis daughter, Dr. Bernard Myers, and the matron of "the New Zealand military hospital at Walton-on-Thames received the King and Queen and . the Prince of Wales, who visited the wards and spoke to -every wounded man, inquiring kindlj as to the liaturo of their .wounds. Sir •Mackenzie thanked the Royal visitor! for their solicitude. The visit was much appreciated by the men, their relatives, and t'ho Government. The King congratulated them on th<s picturssqueness and efficiency of the hospital. Ho would never forget tha magnificent response made by New Zealand or tho gallaufc'work they and theii other heroic overseas troops liad done in the great war. Ho was delighted to boo wliat was being dono for the bravo wounded. The party was heartily cheered. Lord Piunket, Lady Islington, and Sir James Mills were present. GERMAN AIRCRAFT DESTROYED IMPORTANT OFFICER KILLED. (Ree. August-15, 4 p.m.) Rotterdam, August 14. 'Allied aeroplanes bombed and destroyed two airsheds near Ghent, also an aeroplane during the recent _ fighting. An officer believed to bo a- prince was killed. .' The body was taken in a motorcar to Ghent, and was followed by offifcers of high rank.
