ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
TRAMCAR FATALITY. Christohurch, August 10. At an inquest regarding the death of Peter Ealaiu, a married man, wharfinger for the Union, Company at. Lyttelton, who died in the hospital'as the result of injuries received while alighting from a moving tramcar, a verdict of accidental death was returned BOTH FEET"TORN OFF. Dunedin, August 10. Robert Nowburn, aged IG, employed at the Kaitangata Coal Mine, had both fe.et torn off while engaged oiling machinery at the tip-shed. Apparently his clothiiifc caught in the revolving shaft, and his feet struck an overhead beam. He las been removed to Dunedin Hospital.
A' man named J. Copeland, was admitted, to the Hospital yesterday evening suffering from injuries to liis head and back. He was knocked off a. dray by a basket of coal which swung around and caused him to ovor-balance.
