Leaders of all classes, politicians, - church dignitaries, university professors, business men, heads of labour organisations, and prominent women are taking an active part in tho recruiting campaign. There has been a furthermodification of the' physical standard, and as an additional fillip to the recruiting a national service movement, has been started. In Sydney University the bulk of the professional rnd instructional staffs has volunteered gratuitously to place their spare time and services at the disposal of tho military authorities in whatever capacity to which they, may be allotted.
