GUN CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP
(By Telegraph —Press 'Association,) TimarUj August 4. Georgo M'llwnck, of Timaru, won the New Zealand, live pigeon championship to-day, scoring • the possible. W. A. Parsons, of Rangiora, was second, with 20. birds out of 21; H. Eccles (Marlborough), J. Fleming (Stratford}, and J. P. Hughes (Auckland) tied for third, and in the shoot off Eccles .won'. There were 42 competitors—-a record for the championship in .this island. The winner takes £68 in cash, and a handsome £25 gold and jewelled medal, and the Ammunition Company's £15 15s gun.
