NATIONAL CABINET
rARTY REPRESENTATIVES CONFER AT GOVERNMENT HOUSE. The conference of represertatives of both parties in the House—the Government party and the Opposition party—convened by His Excellency the Governor' to discuss the proposal to form a National Cabinet, wa3 held at Government House yesterday afternoon. The representatives of the Government party woro the Prime Minister (the Right Hon. AY. F. Massey), the Hon. J. Allen, the Hon. A. L. Herdman, and the Hon. AY. H. Herries, and of the Opposition party Sir Joseph AYard, Dr. R M'Nab,'Mr. G. AV. Russell, and Mr. A. M. Myers. Inquiries _ were made by a Dominion representative of the Prime Minister last night as to the outcome of the conference, but Mr. Massey would say nothing beyond a simple statement that the meeting was held. As to whether it was conclusive or not lie declined to say, but lie understood that a meeting of the Opposition part}; would be held to-day, at which certain matters pertaining to the proposed National Cabinet schome would be discussed.
