WELLINGTON SHARE MARKET. A sale of Talismans at 20s. 3d. was reported in the mining market- yesterday. The quotations were as under:— • liuyers. Sellera. Tho mine superintendent of the Boss Goldflelds Reconstructed reports as follows on the work at the mine for the week ended July 22:—The progress on No. 2 east drive was 23 feet in heavy brown pay wash. No. 7 north drive was extended 14 feet in ■wash payable for 3ft. above the floor. No. 10 south drive was advanced 16ft. in 4ft. of payable wash, and No. 8 south drive was extended Bft. in pay wash 3ft. deep. No. 6 south blocking drive was reduced to a small prospecting drive when it entered a low-grade clay bar. The face of this drive is now out 40ft. and hag just cut fair grade wash, which is rising towards the torrace. Blocking' is proceeding oil No. 3 south-west drive. Two days have been lost this week through reduced pumping' following upon line troubles experienced ■ during the recent stormy weather. As the face of the east drivo is, and. future north, and south cutting-tip drives will be, well under t-lie old workings of Cassius, it is now necessary to unwater these before resuming work.
GOLD RETURN. The mine superintendent in a telegram state 3 that the gold returns show 350z. l'dwt. of gold from 636 trucks lor a day's work. MURRAY CREEK. Tho manager of the Murray Creek Gold Mining Company, Ltd.,,.advises by-telegram that tho No. 2 winze is down 124 ft., width of reef 4ft; Ho adds tlmt the reef has a permanent appearance, and looks like making in. size. ' '
