[Br Glencoe.] Mullingar, who has been spelling at Hclc-nsville for some time, is back again at Elleislio under F. Stenning'g charge. While being shod prior to being put on tho'train the son.of Marble Arch was badly pricked, and for some days (says the Auckland - "Star;') his trainer had an anxious time of it, as -it was feared tlmt blood-poisoning would set in. He made a good recovery, however, and will be put in uctive commission-again shortly. Thrax has developed lameness, and there is not much chance of him standing another preparation. The Martian gelding had been showing considerable promise over the schooling hurdles., It will be learnt with general regret that Mr. J. Buckley's health has necessitated the dispersal of his stud and horses in training. • J. Thorpe leaves Ellerslio for tho South on Monday next with Blueslono, and will also have charge of Loloma, F. MfManomin, tho trainer of the latter, being unable to make tho trip. Golden Glow was schooled over the big fences at Ullerslie on _ Tuesday morning, au.l is reported to ho iu capital trim for coming engagements. The Southland trainer, P. T- Hogan, will bo represented at the C.J.C. urand National Meeting by the hunter lurco. Weights for minor events*at tho pantorbury Jockey Club's Grand National Meeting aro duo to appear to-day. Tho Palmranga Hunt Club's annual meeting tnkes place to-morrow. Fortify, a. winner at tho Taranaki Hunt Meeting' yesterday, was weighted at the minimum in the C.J.C. Winter Cup.
