The vessel carried timber for Middlesborough/ LOSS OF LIFE BY PIRATE , ATTACKS. AN .OFFICIAL ESTIMATE. (Rec. July 29, 10.45 p.m.) London, July 29. Dr. Macnamara (Secretary to the Admiralty) states that up till July 27, approximately 155G persons had been Jellied by submarine attacks on British merchantmen, and twenty-two through attacks on neutrals.
